چکیده

As is well known, in the current design codes, shear strength of beams calculated based on modified truss theory, which does not consider effects flange area T-beams. The main objective this paper was to gain a better understanding and enhance experimental database behavior RC T-beams illustrate contribution capacity To accomplish aim, specially designed program executed, its test results were analyzed. investigated variables dimensions (thickness width) reinforcement (longitudinal and/or vertical). Nineteen simply supported beam specimens tested failure under load configuration made two concentrated loads. Eighteen had T-shaped cross-sections, while one specimen rectangular cross-section for comparison purposes. items monitored during testing included development diagonal cracks, concrete strains, maximum loads, deflections. Test showed notable increase compared with same web size. For range investigated, increasing thickness-to-beam depth ratio (ρt) from 0.3 0.5 increased by up 54%. In addition, width-to-web width (ρb) 3 5 19%. It also shown that three-dimensional finite element (FE) analyses using ANSYS reasonably all specimens. Finally, FE results, simplified method accounts proposed.

Mechanical Model to simulate the NSM FRP strips shear strength contribution to RC beams

A three dimensional mechanical model has been recently developed to simulate the Near Surface Mounted (NSM) Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) strips shear strength contribution to Reinforced Concrete (RC) beams throughout the entire loading process, as function of the Critical Diagonal Crack (CDC) opening angle. It was developed by fulfilling equilibrium, kinematic compatibility and constitutive l...

Experimental and Theoretical Investigation on Shear Strengthening of RC Precraced Continuous T-beams Using CFRP Strips

Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets are externally bonded to reinforced concrete (RC) members to provide additional strength such as flexural, shear, etc. It has been widely accepted that carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRPs) can be used effectively to strengthen reinforced concrete (RC) members. This paper is intended to study and use externally bonded CFRP strips to repair and st...

Speech intelligibility with the buccal flange obturator.

habilitation of patients who have undergone extensive surgery for eradication of neoplasm of the maxillae requires restoration of the functions of speech, mastication, and deglutition. The options for rehabilitation of these patients are surgical reconstruction or prosthetic restoration. According to Sharry,’ even when surgical techniques are available, prosthetic reconstruction is chosen most ...

contribution of setting to the study of characters and the main idea in e. brontes: wuthering heights and t. hardys: return of the native.

this thesis aims to adduce an unmitigated and comprehensive explication concerning the relationship of three significant elements of fiction: setting, chracter and theme. my research is basically placed on two outstanding novels of the 19th century: emily brontes wuthering heights and thomas hardys return of the native. my endeavour lies in studying the correlation among the three above-mention...

Rehabilitating mandibular resection with guide flange prosthesis.

Loss of continuity of the mandible leads to deviation of the residual segment towards the surgical site and alteration in muscle function. This results in facial asymmetry and malocclusion. A corrective device known as 'guide flange prosthesis' is indicated to limit this clinical manifestation. Guide flange prosthesis serves as a training device. It can successfully guide the patient to close t...
